Rzeszow, Poland, March 9, 2010. In the return match of the Playoffs 6 competition Asseco Resovia RZESZOW was defeated by TRENTINO Volley in straight sets 1-3 (18-25, 28-26, 21-25, 18-25). After two impressive games against Asseco Resovia Italians qualified to the Final Four Tournament which will be staged next April 10-11 in Lodz and will have a big opportunity to seize this prestigious trophy for the second time in a row, also second time in the history of the club. In the semi-final they will face the winner of a Wednesday duel between Olympiacos Piraeus and Dinamo Moscow.
There were no miracles or any major upsets for TRENTINO in Rzeszow. After convincing and secure victory achieved in Trento (3-0) CICL titleholders were in favorable position and could control the situation on the court. It was “Mission Impossible” for RZESZOW team to stop them. However, nearly 5.000 frenzied fans in Podpromie sports hall could admire some interesting rallies especially in first two sets.
The top scorer of the game was Aleh Akhrem of Asseco Resovia RZESZOW (20 points). However, Osmany Juantorena (17 points) and Matey Kaziyski (13 points) were once again outstanding for TRENTINO.

- This duel showed that TRENTINO is definitely a better team than us. They are favorite to win the CICL once again. Today in the first set they played even more powerful and excellent than in Trento. However, I think we didn’t fail and we did everything what we could in our first year among best teams in Europe - said on the press conference Krzysztof Gierczynski, the captain of Asseco Resovia.
- We are very glad to win this game and secure our promotion to the Final Four. In the first set, especially at the end, we played very concentrated and determined. Anyway I believe that in the finals we can play even better - stated Matey Kaziyski, captain of Trentino Volley.
- It is not surprise that we lost two games against Trentino which is a very strong team and big favorite to win another prestigious trophy this season. In the first set they showed their dominance. They played practically without any errors and we couldn’t stop them - commented Ljubo Travica, head coach of the local team.
- I am satisfied with the level of concentration presented by my team especially in the first set. We made a big step but we are already looking forward to the Final Four Tournament in Lodz. Polish supporters once again showed their class today so I expect that the finals of CICL in Poland will be very special and unforgettable - ended Radostin Stoytchev, the head coach of Trentino Volley.
