Asseco Resovia came to Belluno on Friday afternoon, about 14.00, as the management of the club organized the charter flight from Rzeszow (Jasionka airport) to Treviso. That was very comfortable solution as the Poles needed only 4 hours for the whole trip from Rzeszow to Belluno Park Hotel Villa Carpenada.

On the other hand, despite the victory in Podpromie sports hall Sisley Treviso players would prefer to forget about return from Rzeszow to Italy as on Thursday they spent 8 hours at Jasionka airport (their flight to Frankfurt was cancelled) and ultimately had to organize the charter flight from Rzeszow to Treviso (they came back to Italy at 11 p.m.).

 

- This is the life. We couldn’t do anything in that situation but I don’t think it will affect my players on Saturday game. They know that this will be very important game for us as we want to play in the finals. Nevertheless, we are aware of the fact that Resovia players will try to lead to the golden set. I suppose that the game will be once again very competitive because Rzeszow has a very strong team with many international level and experienced players. Anyway, I hope that the golden set won’t be necessary – said Roberto Piazza, Sisley Treviso head coach.

 

- We have played very good game in Rzeszow but we expect that the second match will be also very difficult and competitive. Service and block should be decisive elements. Resovia is a very dangerous team in service. The other thing is that we can have some difficulty with Mikasa balls because in Italy we use Molten. What’s more, we have to be aggressive in service in order to hamper Resovia their play. I think that the chances of both teams are still very open. Polish teams are really strong in the last few years. Although we are playing in Italy, Spes Arena in Belluno is not our main gym, so it won’t be a big advantage for us as – added Novica Bjelica, Sisley Treviso middle-blocker.      

 

- If we play at the same, high level as we played on Wednesday in Rzeszow, especially in attack, I think that this time we will win the game as we can’t lose once again in the same circumstances. All we need is to reduce our mistakes in the key moments, mostly in reception. I am optimistic before this game because I see that my players did not lose their faith and confidence. They want to show that they are able to defeat Sisley and advance to the finals. I hope that they will play as well as in Rzeszow. - We have already forgotten about Wednesday defeat and now we are looking for the return game with big determination and focus. We know how this game is important for our team and we will do our best to win the promotion to the final. With the golden set formula we didn’t lose our chances in Rzeszow. At first, we need to win three sets in Belluno and then try to win also the golden set. We know that we can compete with Sisley on equal terms and we don’t have to fear them. We are optimistic before the return game. We had to play at least at the same level in attack as we did in the first leg but we should be more precise in reception and have better service - ended Tomasz Jozefacki, Asseco Resovia team captain.
